The Ferrari 312 T4 was the marque’s first ground-effect F1 design, introduced for the 1979 season. Although the aerodynamics were hampered by the width of the flat-12 engine, the car had 6 victories that season, 3 each for the sublime Gilles Villeneuve and the hard-charging Jody Scheckter. These successes garnered the Scuderia a Constructor’s Championship as well as a Driver’s Championship for Scheckter. Car #12 is portrayed in Villeneuve’s characteristic sideways sliding style.
